Chief Ewe & Baba Bukunmi

Our Spiritual Team

Baba Bukunmi is a Baltimore-based Babalawo, spiritual counselor and graduate of Morgan State University. For more than a decade, he has been a dedicated practitioner of Ifá and has developed relationships with Ifá communities and practitioners both domestically and internationally.

Initiated as a Priest of Ifá and Egúngún in Abeokuta, Nigeria, Baba Bukunmi is also a Priest of Olókun and Ọ̀sányìn. His spiritual practice includes traditional Ifa and Ancestral teachings, numerology, herbalism and other complementary healing modalities.

He is particularly known for conducting in-depth divination sessions that connect traditional Ifá wisdom with contemporary historical, cultural, and social references- making the teachings of Ifá accessible while honoring  tradition.

In addition to his work within Ifá, Baba Bukunmi is a non-denominational  ordained minister - officiating weddings and various spiritual, cultural, and ceremonial observances.

Over the years, Baba Bukunmi has helped support the growth and development of practitioners at various stages of their spiritual journey —including his Godchildren, clients, Àborìṣà, and Priests. He also serves as a trusted collaborator and resource to  various Ìlès and spiritual organizations with which he is connected.

Baba Bukunmi cares deeply for his community and is comitted to enriching the healing path for every individual that seeks counsel- locally and abroad.  As such, he remains dedicated to lifelong growth and expansion as exemplified by the Elders that precede him.   In the words of our honored Ancestor Kwame Nkrumah, " Forward Ever- Backward Never."
